Hi, my name is Emily. I am taking this class this semester to place me out of my comfort zone. I have always enjoyed painting, but when it came to drawing I think that everything I dois less than worthy. I hope to gain confidence in my ability and to lean new tricks this semester. I will graduate from the college this May with my Associates in Science Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. And I am going to then apply to the nursing program for January 2009, to fulfill my dream of being a pediatric nurse.

This is my favorite artist Georgia O'Keefe. I love the simplisity of her paintings. With every painting that I look at the flowers and landscapes look as though they can come to life. Georgia O'Keefe is know for her controversial paintings that are to have been percieved as being a female flower, for lack of a better term. Whether she was trying to paint a realistic flower or that of one with another meaning I still love all of her work.
